Rudolfinum

Rudolfinum is the current seat of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rudolfinum Gallery. The Czech Savings Bank had the neo-renaissance building built between 1876 and 1881 and it was ceremonially opened in 1885 on the occasion of 50th anniversary of its foundation.

The building was named after the heir to the Habsburg throne, Archduke Rudolf and it is located on the east bank of the Vltava River at a place called Rejdiště.

Last reconstruction of the building took place in 1990-1992. In the building you can find concert hall – Dvorak Hall and smaller concert halls – Suka Hall and Kubelík Hall.
